First Night Away

Last weekend we took an overnight trip to Smithfield. We were able to stay at Grandma's house, and visit with Damen's mom while she was in town.

Something about being at Grandma's house is completely relaxing for me! Maybe it's the quiet neighborhood and the sunny, secluded yard. Maybe it's just far enough away that I forget about work, dishes, and day to day stuff. Either way...we had a great, relaxing couple of days.

Mason had a great time. He is starting to smile and interact a lot more. He definitely got used to being held and entertained all the time!

I was worried about a new sleeping environment, but Mason slept about like usual, up every two hours to eat, not too much fussing. We did find out that Damen can sleep through the nightly feedings, so instead of rotating shifts on the couch we've all moved back into the bedroom!
