End of Summer

I can't believe we are so far into August! Everyone is headed back to school, and it's that time of year again where I'm sad not to have my own garden! On Saturday, Mason and I went to my dad's house and picked a few things from his garden.

We set Mason in the shade in his car seat while we picked veggies. He was so content just sitting there looking around and enjoying the breeze. I was surprised how long he sat awake without making a sound.

When we got home, I thought he would be tired, so I tried to put him down for his first nap in his crib. I came in awhile later to check on him, and this is what I found.

Awake as can be, kicking his legs with all his might, and completely un-swadled. He was smiley and happy as could be. So, I brought him in the other room with me and gave up on the crib nap. We'll attempt it again another day.

On Sunday, I got really sick and spent the next couple days in bed with a fever. Damen had Outdoor Retailer so he was gone all day Saturday and Sunday. On Monday he worked from home so I could get some rest. It has been an exhausting week for the both of us!

A shout out to some great family and friends who did our shopping, took Mason so I could nap, and brought us treats and dinner. It has made our week so much easier!
